Where can you go to participate in your local community, meet friends, and learn something new?
The city of Glendora offers the La Fetra Community Center. Located off Foothill Boulevard, it offers a vast array of services. The Center gives you the opportunity to get involved in new activities while getting to know your neighbors.
Originally built in 1904, the La Fetra Center was donated to the city of Glendora to be converted into a community center. Today, it services over 300 visitors daily. Their mission is to promote dignity and self esteem, foster independence, and facilitate social interaction.
Lonnie, a volunteer, member and trip escort, truly believes that the Center has influenced his life. He is able to contribute to the community while forming many lasting friendships. “We’re like family, we really are. We have a good time.”
The La Fetra Center offers various forms of entertainment. From Bunco on Wednesdays to movie showings on Tuesdays, there is constantly something for you to enjoy. Meet up with some friends and go on a day trip to hidden places in Los Angeles with professional tour guide, Curt Tucker.
