Charter Oak Unified School District plants seeds of excellence

The foundation of any community, like the roots of a century old oak tree, is the continued support of family traditions, the strength of community partners, and the excellence of the schools that serve our future—the students of Glendora. Charter Oak Unified Schools have served the tri-community area, including Glendora, since 1896 with outstanding educational opportunities.

A few of the programs Charter Oak Unified Schools offer high school students include the world-renowned International Baccalaureate; Advanced Placement, Honors and other comprehensive college preparatory courses; vocational educational and Regional Occupation Programs; visual and performing arts at all levels; and diverse offerings of clubs and CIF championship sports. We have established new curriculum programs that are aligned to the California Standards with full library services; increasing amounts of technology for the classrooms; specialists for physical education, art, and music; full-day and Spring kindergarten; high quality child care options; small class sizes in kindergarten through third grade as well as in 9th grade for math and English; and a strong district wide Character Counts program.

Charter Oak would greatly appreciate your assistance in sustaining these programs. Just as the oak draws strength from its roots to weather the winds of change, public schools must continue to work with community businesses to provide high quality educational services for our students even during difficult financial times.
